TAG Airlines was a small airline serving downtown Detroit, Michigan from about 1957 until 1970. Their tag line was "The World's Busiest Airline", and they served airports that were 5–15 minutes from the downtown areas, primarily between Detroit, Michigan, and Cleveland, Ohio. They flew de Havilland Dove surplus military aircraft.[1] The business closed not long after one of their planes crashed into frozen Lake Erie in January 1970, killing all nine people aboard. [2][3]
